Over the course of 30 years or so, the Heath Company produced a virtual flood of test equipment products—all offered as kits. Starting in 1947 with a simple 5-inch oscilloscope, the company quickly expanded its test equipment line to include vacuum tube voltmeters, audio and radio frequency generators, tube testers, power supplies, meters of all description, and much much more. But above all else, Heath loved to make oscilloscopes—some 50 different models over the years, not including scopes for automotive, hi-fi, and ham radio use. By the time the company got out of the kit business around 1987, they had made and sold more models of test equipment than any other company before or since.

This is the definitive guide to every kit-form test equipment product the Heath Company ever made. 200 pages, more than 300 products and 375 crisp black and white photos taken by the author from the author's own collection as well as  several major Heathkit collectors. Every product includes a photo, the first and last year of production and the price when first introduced, a brief technical description and full specifications, and references to the products that preceded and followed. Also included are three indexes: one for model numbers, a second organized by product type, and a third in chronological order.
